MECHANISM
This system is designed to automatically stop the rotation of the lawn mower blades when the operator releases the
blade control lever.
BLADE CONTROL LEVER PUSHED AGAINST HANDLEBAR
With the blade control lever against the handlebar, the ball plate rotates, forcing the three steel balls into the deeper
part of the ramps allowing the brake plate to be pushed away from the driven disc by the ball plate spring. This
releases the brake and allows the clutch spring to push on the driven disc, engaging the driven disc with the drive
disc. The drive disc is keyed to the crankshaft and drive pulley. Power is transmitted to the blades for rotation.
