3.6 Removing and installing battery for fold‐
ing key with cover cap
3.6.1 Removing
Carry out following work:
– Fold out profile section of key.
– Using a screwdriver, unclip cover cap -1- on back of key -2- in
-direction of arrow-.
– Using a suitable screwdriver, unclip battery -1- from battery
compartment of key -2- in -direction of arrow-.
3.6.2 Installing
Note
♦ Before installing battery, always press one of the buttons once.
♦ Thus transmitter unit is reset and can recognize a new battery
only now.
Carry out following work:
Ensure correct polarity and mounting position when installing bat‐
tery.
– Insert battery -1- -arrow- into battery compartment of key -2-
with positive terminal pointing upwards.
– Press battery into battery compartment until it latches into
place, applying only slight pressure while doing so.
– Clip cover cap onto back of key.
