1.5 Door alignment
1.5.1 Door alignment - shut lines and flushness
Note
♦ Vehicle must be standing on its wheels to enable front door to be adjusted.
♦ The front door is correctly adjusted when all shut lines are even when closed. When the door does not project
in or out too far and the contours align.
♦ To check gaps/shut lines: ⇒ Body Repairs; Rep. gr. 00 ; Technical data; Body panel gaps/shut lines; Body
- middle
♦ After installing or alignment, carry out corrosion protection measures on hinges and screws/bolts.
Carry out following work:
Adjusting shut lines
To be able to adjust shut lines correctly, bolts -2-, -5-and -6- in A-
pillar must be loosened.
