– Screw in bolts -4-.
Specified torque for bolts -4-: 12 Nm.
– Attach connector for contact switch for bonnet -F266- if there
is one.
– Fit cable -2- to cable coupling ⇒ page 45 .
– Adjust bonnet lock ⇒ page 52 .
– Install radiator grille ⇒ page 261 .
• Before closing bonnet, check function of release lever and re‐
lease cable.
1.10 Detaching release cable
Carry out following work:
– Open bonnet.
– Unclip cable coupling cover -2- above driver-side headlight
from lock carrier.
– Remove cover -2- from cables -1- and -3- -arrows a-.
– Turn cable -1- by 90° -arrow b- and remove cable -1- in
-direction of arrow c- from the cable mounting -2-.
