6. ENGINE REMOVAL
SERVICE INFORMATION
GENERAL SAFETY
NOTE
Use a jack to remove or install the engine. Support the motorcycle with a jack firmly, taking precautions not to
damage the frame, engine, cable or harness.
Attach tape to the frame to protect it during the engine removal or installation.
The following works can be carried out without removing the engine from the vehicle body.
-TRANSMISSION (⇨SECTION 11)
-STARTING CLUTCH (⇨SECTION 8)
-OIL PUMP (⇨SECTION 2)
-A.C. GENERATOR (⇨SECTION 8)
-STARTER MOTOR (⇨SECTION 17)
-KICK STARTER/ CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (⇨SECTION 7)
-CYLINDER HEAD/ CYLINDER/ PISTON (⇨SECTION 9,10)
-EX. MUFFLER (⇨SECTION 4)
-CARBURETOR (⇨SECTION 5)
-REAR SWING ARM (⇨SECTION 13)
Items to be worked after removing engine.
-CRANKSHAFT, CRANKSHAFT BEARING, CRANK CASE BEARING
Engine oil capacity : 1.1- when disassembled.
TORQUE VALUES :
ENGINE HANGER BOLT (FRONT) : 2.7
