Configuring LLDP-MED Settings
Beginning in Privileged EXEC mode, use the following commands to
configure LLDP-MED settings that affect the entire switch.
Command Purpose
configure Enter Global Configuration mode.
lldp med
faststartrepeatcount
count
Specifies the number of LLDP PDUs that will be
transmitted when the protocol is enabled.
interface
interface
Enter interface configuration mode for the specified
Ethernet interface.
lldp med Enable LLDP-MED on the interface.
lldp med
confignotification
Allow the port to send topology change notifications.
lldp med transmit-tlv
[capabilities] [network-
policy] [location]
[inventory]
Specify which optional TLVs in the LLDP MED set are
transmitted in the LLDP PDUs.
exit Exit to Global Config mode.
exit Exit to Privileged EXEC mode.
show lldp med View global LLDP-MED settings.
show lldp med interface
{all |
interface
}
View LLDP-MED settings for all ports or for the specified
port.
