11.2 Standard slewing range type
The MAXbase slewing range type is available in the case of additional equipment;
à MAXbase slewing range type, p. 11 - 27.
The Standard slewing range type is always available. The supplied lifting capacity
tables with symmetrical outrigger spans apply. These lifting capacity tables are
also supplied in printed form with the truck crane.
11.2.1 Permissible slewing ranges and operating positions
360° slewing
range
• Support the truck crane with the outrigger span required according to the Lifting
capacity table.
• Enter an RCL code for the 360° slewing range according to the Lifting capacity
table ;
à Entering the rigging mode, p. 11 - 36.
• Rig a counterweight combination that is no larger than that permitted for the
rigged outrigger span. Slewing with a rigged counterweight is not permitted with
all outrigger spans;
à Slewing with a rigged counterweight, p. 12 - 76.
Operating position
0° to the rear
• Support the truck crane with the outrigger span required according to the Lifting
capacity table.
• Slew the superstructure to the rear into the 0° position.
• Lock the turntable; à p. 11 - 18.
• Enter an RCL code for the 0° to the rear operating position according to Lifting
capacity table;
à Entering the rigging mode, p. 11 - 36.
The RCL will accept this code only if the turntable is locked and the superstruc-
ture is in the 0° position.

All slewing operations are disabled if an RCL code is entered for the 0° to the rear
operating position. An RCL shutdown is triggered by unlocking the turntable.
To acknowledge this shutdown, if slewing is permissible with the rigged
counterweight (
à p. 12 - 76), set down the load and enter a rigging mode for
the 360° slewing range.
180° to the front
rigging position
The same lifting capacity tables apply to this position as to the 360° slewing
range.
