5. Fax
Set when the external telephone and the machine ring in Tel/Fax Ready mode.

Press the (SETTING) button on the operator panel.

Press the button once to select [Admin Setup] and press the button.

Enter the administrator password, and then press the (OK) button.
The factory default administrator password is "999999". If the administrator password is changed, enter the
updated password.

Press the button to select [Fax Setup] and press the button.

Press the or button to select [Fax Setting] and press the button.

Press the or button repeatedly to select [Tel Priority Mode] and press
the button.

Press the or button to select [ON] and press the (OK) button.
• [ON]: The sender is assumed to make a voice call. The telephone rings early.
• [OFF]: The sender is assumed to send a fax. When the machine determines that the
sender wants to make a voice call, the telephone rings.

Press the button until the home screen is displayed.
Set the machine so that it can determine whether the sender is sending a fax while the
recipient is holding the handset of the external telephone after picking it up to answer the call
when the telephone rings in Tel/Fax Ready mode.

• [ON]: The machine detects fax beep signals, and then automatically starts receiving
a fax.
• [OFF]: If the sender is sending a fax, the machine receives a fax with manual
reception.

Press the button until the home screen is displayed.
