5. Fax
Useful Functions
This section describes useful fax functions.
• Instructing a Fax Reception from a Telephone Remotely (Remote Switchover Number)
• Setting Secure Reception
If the connected telephone is remotely located, you can switch the machine to the fax
reception operation by dialing the remote switchover number on the telephone.
If the connected telephone is not a push line, press the tone button on the telephone to
switch to tone (push) signals before dialing the remote switchover number.
When dialing the remote switchover number, enter the next digit of the number within
3 seconds of dialing the previous digit.

Press the (SETTING) button on the operator panel.

Press the button once to select [Admin Setup] and press the button.

Enter the administrator password, and then press the (OK) button.
The factory default administrator password is "999999". If the administrator password is changed, enter the
updated password.

Press the button to select [Fax Setup] and press the button.

Press the or button to select [Fax Setting] and press the button.

Press the or button repeatedly to select [Remote Receive Number] and
press the button.

Select the remote switchover number and press the (OK) button.

Press the button until the home screen is displayed.
