6. Press the [ ] or [ ] key to select [Random Numbers], and then press the [OK] key.
7. Press the [ ] or [ ] key to enter the number of times that you want to overwrite, and then
press the [OK] key.
Proceed to step 10.
8. Press the [ ] or [ ] key to select [NSA], and then press the [OK] key.
Proceed to step 10.
9. Press the [ ] or [ ] key to select [DoD], and then press the [OK] key.
10. When overwriting is completed, press [Exit], and then turn off the power.
• Should the main power switch be turned Off before Auto Erase Memory is completed, overwriting
will continue once the main power switch is turned back to [On].
• If
an error occurs before overwriting is completed, turn off the main power. Turn it on again, and then
repeat from step 2.
• If you specify both overwrite and encrypt the data, the data will all be encrypted.
Suspending Erase All Memory
This can be specified by the machine administrator.
The overwriting process can be suspended temporarily.
• Erase All Memory cannot be cancelled.
1. Press [Suspend] while Erase All Memory is in progress.
2. Press [Yes].
3. Turn off the main power.
• To resume overwriting, turn on the main power.
