GEARSHIFT
GEARSHIFT SHAFT/GEARSHIFT ARM DISASSEMBLY
• Remove the following parts from the gearshift shaft/gearshift
arm
1.
2 Washer 6 Plate return spring
3 Snap ring 7 Washer
4 Gearshift shaft return spring 8 Snap ring
5 Gearshift cam drive plate 9 Washer
" 09900-06107: Snap ring pliers
GEARSHIFT SHAFT/GEARSHIFT ARM INSPECTION
Check the gearshift shaft/gearshift arm
1 for wear or bend.
RETURN SPRINGS INSPECTION
Check the return springs,
4 and 6, for damage or fatigue.
GEARSHIFT SHAFT/GEARSHIFT ARM REASSEMBLY
• Install the following parts to the gearshift shaft/gearshift arm
1 as shown in the right illustration.
2 Washer 6 Plate return spring
3 Snap ring 7 Washer
4 Gearshift shaft return spring 8 Snap ring
5 Gearshift cam drive plate 9 Washer
" 09900-06107: Snap ring pliers
NOTE:
When installing the gearshift shaft return spring
4, position the
stopper
A of the gearshift arm between the shaft return spring
ends
B.
CRANKCASE
OIL PUMP
• Remove the oil pump.
