2-26 PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
FRONT FORK
Inspect the front forks for oil leakage, scoring or scratches on the outer surface of the inner tubes. Replace
any defective parts, if necessary. (!6-15)
REAR SUSPENSION
Inspect the rotary damper for oil leakage and the spring unit for damage. Check that there is no play in the
swingarm assembly. Replace any defective parts, if necessary. (!6-43)
EXHAUST PIPE BOLT
• Tighten the exhaust pipe bolts and muffler mounting bolts to the specified torque.
& Muffler mounting bolt /nut
A: 23 N·m (2.3 kgf-m, 16.5 lb-ft)

BC: 23 N·m (2.3 kgf-m, 16.5 lb-ft)
NOTE:
When installing the muffler protectors, apply a small quantity of THREAD LOCK “1342” to its mounting bolts.
* 99000-32050: THREAD LOCK ‘‘1342’’
Inspect every 12 000 km (7 500 miles, 12 months).
Inspect every 12 000 km (7 500 miles, 12 months).
Tighten initially at 1 000 km (600 miles, 1 month) and
every 12 000 km (7 500 miles, 12 months) thereafter.
