C28
Secondary throttle
valve actuator
When no actuator control signal is supplied from the ECM or
communication signal does not reach ECM or operation voltage
does not reach STVA motor, C28 is indicated. STVA can not
operate.
STVA lead wire/coupler.
C29
Secondary throttle posi-
tion sensor
The sensor should produce following voltage.
(0.10 V sensor voltage < 4.80 V)
Without the above range, C29 is indicated.
Secondary throttle position sensor, wiring/coupler connection.
C31
Gear position signal Gear position signal voltage should be higher than the following
for more than 4 seconds.
(Gear position switch voltage > 1.0 V)
Without the above value, C31 is indicated.
Gear position sensor, wiring/coupler connection. Gearshift cam
etc.
C32 or C33
Fuel injector signal When fuel injection signal stops, the C32 or C33 is indicated.
Injector, wiring/coupler connection, power supply to the injector.
C41
Fuel pump relay signal When no signal is supplied from fuel pump relay, C41 is indi-
cated.
Fuel pump relay, connecting lead, power source to fuel pump
relay.
C42
Ignition switch signal Ignition switch signal is not input in the ECM.
Ignition switch, lead wire/coupler.
C44
Heated oxygen sensor
(HO
2
S)
The sensor voltage should be less than the following after
warming up condition.
(Sensor voltage
< 0.4 V)
Without the above value, C44 is indicated.
Heater operation voltage does not reach in the oxygen heater
circuit, C44 in indicated.
The Heater can not operate.
HO
2
S lead wire/coupler connection.
Battery voltage supply to the HO
2
S.
