CHARGING AND LIGHTING SYSTEM
DESCRIPTION
The charging system for this motorcycle uses a generator, as shown below. The charging and lighting coils
are mounted on the generator stator and generate AC current as the generator rotor turns. The AC current,
which is generated in the charging coil, is converted by the regulator/rectifier into DC current. The DC
current then charges the battery and the lighting coil uses the regulated AC current to supply the meter light,
headlight, and license plate light.
