STARTER MOTOR REMOVAL AND
DISASSEMBLY
Disconnect the starter motor lead wire and remove the starter
motor 1.
Others
Engine does not turn though the
starter motor runs.
• Faulty starter pinion
gear assembly
No voltage
Incorrect
• Faulty ignition switch
• Faulty starter button
• Faulty brake light switches
(front and rear brakes)
• Improper connector contact
Measure the starter relay voltage at the starter
relay connectors (between W and Y/G )
when the starter button is pushed.
Voltage
• Faulty starter relay
• Improper starter relay contact
Inspect the starter relay.
Correct

• Open circuit in wire harness
