– Check the inner tube and axle clamp for damage.
» If there is damage:
– Change the inner tube.

– Measure the outside diameter at several locations on the inner tube.

» If the measured value is less than the specified value:
– Change the inner tube.

– Measure the run-out of the inner tube.
Run-out of inner tube ≤ 0.20 mm (≤ 0.0079 in)
» If the measured value is greater than the specified value:
– Change the inner tube.

– Check the outer tube for damage.
» If there is damage:
– Change the outer tube.

– Check the surface of the sliding bushings.
»
If the bronze-colored layer
under the sliding layer
is visible:
– Replace the sliding bushings.
