SHIFT LEVER
SHIFT LEVER REMOVAL
1. Remove the seat. Remove the screws and plastic
rivets securing the right seat panel to the chassis.
2. Remove the fuel tank cap. Pull the seat panel up and
away from the chassis. Reinstall the fuel tank cap.
3. Remove the shift knob cover

from the shift lever.
4. Remove the screws

from the support blocks

5. Remove the fastener

retaining the shift cable to
the shift lever and remove from the vehicle.
6. To remove the shift cable from the transmission
linkage, remove the screw flange nut

7. Loosen the shift cable jam nuts from the mount and
remove from vehicle.
