RADIATOR REMOVAL / INSTALLATION
WARNING
Never drain the coolant when the engine and radiator
are warm or hot. Hot coolant can cause severe burns.
Allow engine and radiator to cool.
1. Open the front rack and remove the access panel.
2. Slowly remove the pressure cap to relieve any
cooling system pressure.
3. The engine coolant can be drained by removing the
coolant hose from the water pump cover.
4. Remove the front fascia from the vehicle to expose
the radiator

and radiator hoses.
5. Place a suitable drain pan underneath the right side
of the radiator, directly under the lower radiator hose
fitting.
6. Remove the spring clamp
w
and lower radiator hose
e
. Allow the radiator to completely drain.
7. Remove the upper coolant hose and recovery hose
from the top of the radiator.
8. Remove the two upper radiator retaining bolts
r
.
9. Disconnect the fan motor and remove the radiator
from the vehicle. Take care not to damage the cooling
fins.
10.Reverse procedure for installation.
TORQUE
Radiator Mounting Fasteners:
7 ft-lbs (10 Nm)
11. Verify the cooling system is properly bled of air after
installing components.
