6. Remove the upper and lower control arm fasteners.
Discard the flange nuts.
7. Remove bearing carrier assembly.
8. With a short, sharp jerk, remove drive shaft from the
transmission splines.
REAR DRIVE SHAFT INSTALLATION
1. Install new compression ring on drive shaft. Apply
anti-seize compound to splines. Align splines of drive
shaft with transmission splines and install by lightly
tapping on drive shaft with soft-faced hammer.
2. Apply anti-seize compound to the inner race of the
bearing. Insert bearing carrier on drive shaft.
