6. From inside the footwell compartment, remove the
mounting fasteners

that secures the master
cylinder to the frame.
7. Carefully remove the master cylinder from the front of
the vehicle frame.
NOTICE
Only master cylinder and frame shown for image clarity.
MASTER CYLINDER INSTALLATION
1. Reverse Steps 1-7 for master cylinder installation.
2. When installing the front and rear brake lines on the
master cylinder, use new sealing washers and
orientate lines as shown.

Always use new parts.
Lubricate with DOT 4
brake fluid.

3. After installing the foot brake check pedal freeplay.
Pedal freeplay should not exceed .090” (2.286 mm).
4. Using new nuts, install the master cylinder bolts.
Torque nuts to specification.
TORQUE
Master Cylinder Bolts
23 ft-lbs (31 Nm)
5. Reposition or install the following components:
• Front Bumper
• Front Cab / Storage Box
• Radiator
• Brake Pedal
