REAR AXLE
Rear Axle Case
1. Remove the rear axle case mounting screws and nuts.
2. Place the disassembling stand under the transmission case.
3. Support the rear axle case (1) with nylon lift strap and hoist.
4. Carefully separate the rear axle case (1) with the brake case (2).
(When reassembling)
• Apply liquid gasket (Three Bond 1216 or equivalent) to joint
surface of the brake case and transmission case.

(3) Disassembling Rear Axle Case
Brake Case and Brake Disc
1. Separate the brake case (1) with the brake piston (4).
2. Draw out the brake shaft (8) with brake discs (6) and plates (5).
3. Remove the external snap ring (9) from the brake shaft (8).
4. Remove the brake disc (6) and plate (5).
5. Remove the brake piston (4) from the brake case with
compressed air. (Slowly inject an air from brake pipe joint.)
(When reassembling)
• Install the brake seal so as not to twist.
• Take care not to enter the foreign matter into the seal groove
inside brake case.
• When installing the brake piston, apply silicon grease to the
brake seals, and tap it in evenly and lightly using a soft hammer.
• Install the brake discs with their holes aligned to the next holes.
