[3] AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM AND FRONT WINDSHIELD WIPER
(1) Checking
(A) Air Conditioner Unit
1) Connector Voltage (A/C Main Relay, Compressor Relay)
1. When turning the main switch “ON” and voltage across the 1
terminal and chassis should be approx. battery voltage.
2. The voltage across the 4 terminal and chassis should be approx.
battery voltage.

2) Relay Test (A/C Main Relay, Compressor Relay)
1. Remove the relay (1).
2. Connect the battery (2) and bulb (3) with the relay (1) as shown
in the figure left.
3. If the bulb on when disconnecting the jumper lead (A) from the
relay terminal and if the bulb off when connecting the jumper lead
(A) to the relay 2 terminal, the relay is proper.
