[2] DISASSEMBLING AND ASSEMBLING
(1) Removing Master Cylinder and Equalizer
Removing Master Cylinder and Equalizer
1. Remove the bonnet (1) and muffler (4).
2. Remove the steering wheel (2), meter panel and rear bonnet (3).
3. Disconnect the brake hose (7) and brake pipe (8) from the master
cylinder (19).
4. Remove the clevis pin (11) to disconnect the master cylinder from
the brake pedal.
5. Remove the bonnet support (5) mounting screw and lift the
bonnet support (5) by about 10 mm (4 in.).
6. Remove the master cylinder (10).
7. Disconnect the brake pipes and remove the equalizer (9).
(When reassembling)
• After mounting the master cylinder and equalizer, be sure to
bleed air.

(2) Separating Brake Case from Transmission Case
• Refer to “Separating Rear Axle Case from Transmission Case (ROPS Type)” and “Separating Rear Axle Case from
Transmission Case (CABIN Type)” in REAR AXLE section.
Tightening torque Brake pipe nut
16 to 24 N·m
1.63 to 2.45 kgf·m
11.8 to 17.7 lbf·ft
