9.3 ADF Unit
(1) Open the scanner cover, insert the tip of a flat screwdriver into the hooks and lift the
harness cover up and off, starting from the rear and finally pulling out the tab.
(2) Remove the screw (TAPTITE CUP S M3x6) from the grounding wire of the ADF motor
harness.
(3) Disconnect the document detection/document scanning position sensor harness, ADF
motor harness, scanner motor harness and CIS flat cable.
Duplex scanning models: Disconnect also the second side CIS flat cable.
