8.4 Numerical Value Calculation Expressions
Average value
Obtains the average value of waveform data.
AVE : Average value
n : Data count
di : Data on channel number i
Peak-to-Peak
(P-P) Value
Obtains the value of the difference (peak-to-
peak value) between maximum and minimum
values of waveform data.
Maximum
Value
Obtains the maximum value of waveform data.
Time to
maximum
value
Acquires the time (s) elapsed from the start of
recording* to maximum value. When there are
two or more maxima, this value is the first to oc-
cur.
*. Trigger position when using trigger
Minimum
Value
Obtains the minimum value of waveform data.
Time to
minimum
value
Acquires the time (s) elapsed from the start of
recording* to minimum value. When there are
two or more minima, this value is the first to oc-
cur.
*. Trigger position when using trigger
RMS (Root-
Mean-Square)
value
Obtains the RMS value of waveform data. If
Scaling is enabled, calculations are applied to
the waveform after scaling.
RMS : effective value (Root-Mean-Square val-
ue)
n :Data count
di : Data on channel number i
Period and
Frequency
Displays the period (in seconds) and frequency
(Hz) of the signal waveform.
Calculations are based on the interval between
successive rising or falling transitions of the
signal waveform through its amplitude mid-
point in the same direction.
