The instrument contains a lithium battery for memory backup.
When disposing of this instrument, remove the lithium battery and dispose of battery
and instrument in accordance with local regulations.
14.3 Disposing of the Instrument
Removing the Lithium Battery
To avoid electric shock, turn off the power switch and disconnect
the power cord and measurement cables before removing the lith
-
ium battery.
1 Verify that the power is off, and remove
the measurement cables and power
cord.
2 Turn the instrument upside down, and
then remove the screw (1) from the bat
-
tery compartment cover.
3 Remove the battery compartment
cover.
4 Remove the batteries or battery box.
5 Remove the screws (4) securing the
protector, and then remove the protec
-
tor.
6 Remove the screws (4) securing the
bottom of the case, and then remove
the bottom of the case.
7 Remove the screws (2) securing the
board, and then remove the board.
Required tools:
• One Phillips screwdriver (No.1)
• One wire cutter (to remove the lithium battery)
• One box wrench or spanner (5.5 mm) (for remov-
ing the hexagonal standoffs)
