3. If you have connected a new device in the meantime, click the "Refresh" button to refresh
the list of accessible devices.
4. Click on "Display" to transfer the device found into the project navigation in folder "Online
accesses".
The subfolder of the interface to which the selected device is connected is selected in the
project tree.
Note
Several identical devices
If several identical devices can be accessed from the PG, by clicking on the "Flash LED"
button you can then display which device corresponds to the entry in the list of accessible
devices.
2.8.9 F-I/O for PROFINET IO
You can use the following failsafe components in SINUMERIK Safety Integrated F-systems on
PROFINET IO:
● F‑CPUs with PN interface
● Failsafe inputs and outputs (F-I/O), such as:
– S7-1500/ET 200MP failsafe modules
– ET 200SP failsafe modules
– ET 200S failsafe modules
– ET 200pro failsafe modules
– ET 200iSP failsafe modules
– Failsafe GSD based I/O devices (light grid, laser scanner, etc.)
You have the option to expand the configuration with standard I/O.

The drive system that you can use depends on whether a safety-relevant encoder is used - and
which axis type is to be used.
