8. Install bearing half 7 to cylinder block 8.
9. Apply engine oil to bearings and crankshaft.
11. Install oil seals w and e to crankshaft q as shown.
7. Put pistons into cylinder with piston crown 1 "UP" mark
directing flywheel side f, set pistons on the piston slider 6,
install the piston into the cylinder.
Piston Slider 6 :
P/N. 3AC-72871-0

Before installing, apply engine oil to piston
peripheral surfaces, piston rings and piston sliders.
· Be sure that individual bearings are installed
to their original locations.
· Install bearings with their projection g fit into
cylinder block groove.
· Apply grease to lip of oil seals before installing
them.
10. Attach connecting rod cap 9 to connecting rod, and tighten
connecting rod bolts 0 in two steps to specified torque.
Connecting rod bolt 0 :
First Tightening Torque : 6 N · m (4 lb · ft) [0.6 kgf · m]
Second Tightening Torque : 12 N · m (9 lb · ft) [1.2 kgf · m]

· Be sure that individual connecting rod caps
are installed to their original connecting rod.
Be careful of orientation of connecting rod
cap.
· After installing connecting rod cap, apply
engine oil to connecting rod side clearance.
