4. Start engine and check sparks. Check spark system if
sparks are weak.
Spark Tester 2 :
P/N. 3F3-72540-0

· When testing, put electrode cap assuredly
to prevent direct contact with spark
tester wiring and leak of electrical
current, and perform test carefully.
· Keep inflammable gas, fuel, oil and fat
away from tester to prevent them from
catching sparks.
Spark Performance :
10 mm (0.4 in) or over
This test can be made without removing parts.

1) Inspection of Ignition Sparks
1. Disconnect plug caps from spark plugs.
2. Connect plug cap 1 to spark tester 2.
3. Connect spark tester clip 3 to spark plug tip electrode.
