The seat switch is located under the seat in the rear right
hand corner of the compartment (Fig. 661).

Location
Purpose
1. Disconnect the switch from the wiring harness.
The park brake switch is a double pole switch. When
the park brake is in the ON position, a pair of closed
terminals is part of the starting safety interlock circuit.
When the brake is released after starting, the other pair
of terminals closes, bypassing the neutral switches and
applying power to the seat switch circuit.
2. Using a multimeter, follow the procudures listed
below (Fig. 660).
The seat switch is in the safety circuit. If the engine is
running and the operator vacates the seat with either
the PTO engaged or the parking brake disengaged, the
engine will shut down.
Note: There is a delay module in the system; there
will be a slight delay before the engine shuts
down after the operator vacates the seat.
