2. Tighten the jam nut to secure the balljoint position
(Fig. 900).
Note: Balljoint to be positioned perpendicular to
strut.

3. Install 2 grease fi ttings into the strut (Fig. 901).

13. Remove the balljoint and jam nut from the strut (Fig.
898).
A. Strut C. Balljoint
B. Jam nut D. 17.31” (43.97cm)

1. Install the balljoint and jam nut into the strut. The
length of the strut should be 17.31” (43.97cm) from
the center of the balljoint to the center of the cross
shaft of the strut (Fig. 899).
