FUEL SYSTEM
Start the engine and open the throttle slightly to be
certain that air is sucked in through the secondary
air intake ports of the air cleaner housing.
If the air is not drawn in, check the air supply hose
for clogs.
With the engine running, gradually apply vacuum to
the PAIR control valve.
Check that the air intake port stops drawing air, and
that the vacuum does not bleed.
SPECIFIED VACUUM: 450 mm Hg
If air is drawn in, or if the specified vacuum is not
maintained, install a new PAIR control valve.

Remove the air cleaner housing(page 5-6).
Disconnect the vacuum hose, air supply hose and
PAIR control valve.
Route
the
hoses
Install the removed parts in the reverse order of
properly, removal.

Remove the plug maintenance lid (page 3-6).
Remove the bolts and PAIR check valve cover.
