FINAL REDUCTION

Remove the dowel pins.
Clean any sealant from the transmission case mat-
ing surface.
Remove the thrust washers and countershaft.
Remove the final gear shaft, counter gear and side
washer.
DRIVESHAFT REMOVAL
Remove the driveshaft using the special tools.
Remove the driveshaft oil seal and bearing.
If the bearing is left on the driveshaft, remove it with
the special tool.
