LIGHTS/METERS/SWITCHES
Pull out the fuel level sensor 3P (Bu) connector from
the back-side of the lower cover and disconnect the
fuel level sensor 3P (Bu) connector.
Check the continuity between the Green terminal
and ground at the wire harness side.
There should be continuity.
If there is no continuity, check for an open or short
circuit in the wire harness.

FUEL LEVEL SENSOR INSPECTION
Remove the step floor (page 2-9).
Pull out the fuel level sensor 3P (Bu) connector from
the back-side of the lower cover.
Disconnect the fuel level sensor 3P (Bu) connector.
Remove the wire harness from the clamp.
Turn the sensor retainer counterclockwise
remove it.
Remove the fuel level sensor, being careful not to
deform or damage the float arm.
Remove the seal
ring.
3 FUEL LEVEL SENSOR
Measure the resistance between the connector ter-
minals with the float upper (full) and lower (empty)
positions.

Replace the fuel level sensor if it is out of specifica-
tion.
