DOT
5 brake fluid!
It
is
silicone-based and purple in color. Oil seals and brake lines
are
not designed for
DOT
5
brake fluid.
Avoid contact between brake fluid and painted parts. Brake
fluid
is corrosive!
Use
only clean brake fluid from a sealed container.
- Stand the vehicle upright.
-
Remove
screw cap with membrane and the a-ring.
-
Press
the brake caliper toward the brake disc to push back the brake piston and
ensure that
no
brake fluid runs out of the brake fluid reservoir, sucking
it
off
if it
does.

I Make sure when pushing back the brake piston that
you
do
not press the
brake caliper against the spokes.

Remove
locking
split
pins
,withdraw
pin
,and
take out the brake linings.
- Clean the brake caliper and brake caliper support.
- Check that leaf spring in the brake caliper and sliding plate in the brake
caliper support
are
seated correctly.

on
the leaf spring points in the rotation direction
of
the brake
disc.
