29.10 Bispectral Index (BIS) Performance
The BIS function is in accordance with the requirements of IEC 60601-2-26.
The V 12/V 21 in conjunction with:
• BIS Module
1. Performance:
The BIS parameter is capable of providing BIS in Adult, and Pediatric patients.
NOTE: The Asymmetry (ASYM) for the V 12/V 21 uses the
formula. Using will result in ASYM going from 0 to 100.
A value of 50 means there is no difference between left and right
energies.
2. BIS Alarms:
BIS function includes High and Low BIS alarms. Alarms can be triggered when measured rate is equal
to or greater/smaller than the alarm setting.
