Use this
procedure
to clean or replace
the air
valve
assembly. The air
valve
assembly is located inside
the actuator.
Air Valve Removal
1.
Complete Magnet Assembly
Removal
NOTE: The
Magnet Assembly
Removalprocedure
includes steps
for relieving
system
pressure,
locking out
power,
and removing the
actuator.
2.
See Figure B 1-22.
Remove the valve
cap screws
(1)
and
lift
the
valve
cap
(2)
ott the bumper
assembly
(4).
3.
Remove
the bumper
assembly.
Use an open-end wrench to hold the
bumper
assembly;
then use another wrench
to remove the retaining
nut
(3).
4. Remove the
upper detent
(8)
from the bottom
of the
valve
body
(7).
GAUTION: Risk
of equipment damage. Do
not
press
the air
valve
out of the valve
body by
pressing
on
the end of the spool
5. Use a socket
or similar tool
to
press
the air valve out of
the
valve
body by
pressing
against the end
of the sleeve
(6).
6.
Remove
and discard
the sleeve
O-rings
(5)
