5.4 Image recording and playback (other than PC
card)
The recordable area of the image is variable depending on the recording
devices. Refer to the respective instruction manual of the recording device.
Image filing system
Assign the “Digital file” to “RELEASE 1” or “RELEASE 2” in the “User preset”
menu in advance. See “Release function” on page 223.
1. Press the “FREEZE” key (see Figure 5.76) to freeze the endoscopic live
image.
2. Check the frozen image if it is suitable for recording. If not, press the
“FREEZE” key again to return to the live image and repeat steps 1. and 2.

3. Press the “RELEASE” key (see Figure 5.76) to record the image. The frozen
endoscopic image returns to the live image. The D.F. counter on the monitor
increments by one (see Figure 5.77).
When the index image setting is ON, the index image is displayed at the
lower left corner on the monitor.
