Web User Interface
To configure administrator password via web user interface:
1. Click on Security->Security.
2. Select Administrator from the pull-down list of User Type.
3. Enter the old administrator password in the Old Password field.
4. Enter a new password in the New Password field.
5. Enter the new password or leave it blank in the User Password field.
6. Click Confirm to accept the change.
To configure administrator password via the remote control:
1. Select Menu->Advanced (default password: 0000)->Password Reset.
2. Enter the old password in the Current Password field.
3. Configure a new password in the New Password and Confirm Password fields.
4. Press the Save soft key to accept the change.
Web Server Type
Web server type determines the access protocol of the endpoint’s web user interface. The
endpoint supports both HTTP and HTTPS protocols for accessing the web user interface. HTTP is
an application protocol that runs on top of the TCP/IP suite of protocols. HTTPS is a web
protocol that encrypts and decrypts user page requests as well as the pages returned by the
web server. Both the HTTP and HTTPS port numbers are configurable.
