9.2 Example 1: Basic Configuration Example
In the example, a building is divided into three different sections with
a total of 4 detection zones.
 Detection Zones:
o Detection Zone 1 (green)
o Detection Zone 2 (blue)
o Detection Zone 3 (yellow)
o Detection Zone 4 (purple)
 All detection zones are defined as Immediate Action Detection
Zones.
 All loop units are connected to one detection loop.
 The system consist of 8 loop units (4 detectors, 1 manual
callpoint and 3 electronic sounders)
 The system has one Alarm Zone (red)
 One output is used for Fire Alarm Routing Equipment
 One output is used for Fault Warning Routing Equipment
 One output is used for Fire Alarm Devices (sounder)
 A sounder (FAD) is located outside at the front door.
 A point in alarm is to be configured to activate all Fire Alarm
Devices.
 A point in alarm is to be configured to activate all Fire Alarm
Routing Equipment.
