5.12 Activation Groups
Points and general outputs can be assigned to Activation Groups
(configurable). An Activation Group can be configured to trigger an
output in the event of an alarm. An output unit connected to this
output will then initiate a signal to activate external equipment, as for
example, doors, sprinkler systems, ventilation valves, horns and fire
lights.
5.12.1 Accessing the Menu
From the Service Menu, perform the following:
Use the arrow down button to scroll downwards to
Unit Configuration, then press Enter.
Use the arrow down button to select Activation Groups, then
press Enter once more.
Use the arrow up/down buttons to select the Activation Group
that is to be configured.
To view or change properties for the selected Activation Group,
refer to Configure Properties for an Activation Group (chapter
5.12.2).
To access available functions for a selected activation group,
press the Function button
, or use, if necessary, the
multiselect feature to select several activation groups by pressing
the Select button
to mark the activation groups that are to be
configured, and then press the Function button .
The following menu selections will appear:
o Connect to Output (chapter 5.12.3)
o Disconnect from Output (chapter 5.12.4)
o Show Member Points (chapter 5.12.5)
o Show Connected Units (chapter 5.12.6)
Scroll with the arrow up/down buttons to select the desired menu,
then follow the instructions in the relevant chapter.
