FUEL SYSTEM
Remove the slow jet.
Remove the main jet , needle Jet holder and needle jet.
Before
remolling the pilot scr ew , r eco rd the numb er of tur ns
until the screw seats lightly .
CAUTION
DamQg~ to the pilol scr~w sea l will o«ur if the pilol sc rew is
li ghlen«1 against the seal.
Then remove the screw .
Inspect the pilot screw . needle jet, needle jet holder and main
jet.
Check each part for wear or damage.
Clean the passages and jets with comp ressed air.
CARBURETOR ASSEMBLY
Clean all pans in non -flammable or high flash point solvent and
blow dry with comp ressed air.
Carburetor assembly is essentially the reverse order of disas-
se mbl y.
NOTE
Use new D-rings whenever the carbur eto r is reassembled.
Handle all jets and needles wi th care. Th ey can easily be
scored or damaged.
Set the pil ot screw at th e position re co rded during disas-
semblV·
FLOAT LEVEL IN SPECTION
Measure the float level wi th a float level gauge as sh own .
FLOAT LEVEL: 10 .7 mm (0. 42 In)
