Clean the cylinder gasket surface being careful not to drop any
gasket material into the crank.case.
PISTON INSTALLATION
Apply molybdenum disulfide grease to Inside of the connecting
rod amall end.
Install the piston, piston pin and clip.
NOTE
Install the piston with the .. . .. marX facing the exhaust
side.
Do not align the piston pin clip end gap with the pist on cut·
out .
CYLINDER INSTALLATION
Install the dowel pins. new a-ring and 8 new gasket.
Apply 8 thin coat of engine oil to the piston rings and cy linder
wall.
Install the cylinder, compressing the piston rings.
NOTE
• When the cylinder is halfway over the piston , foute the carn
chain through the cylinder.
