7.4 LLAI IOP Calibration Procedure

Calibration procedure
To calibrate, perform the following steps.
Each LLAI IOP card and FTA has been calibrated at the factory for all input types. If
recalibration must be performed in the field, power must be applied to the LLAI for at
least 30 minutes for temperature stabilization before starting the calibration. The
calibration procedure calibrates all channels on one FTA simultaneously, rather than
each channel singularly. Have the operator place the IOP card in an Idle state using the
HPM Detail Status display.
If the FTA has screw terminal strips, temporarily remove the plastic cover. Remove the
field wiring from the FTA and substitute "zero input" sources for all channels. These
inputs are short copper wire jumpers across the input terminals. Refer to Figure 208
Zero Calibration Circuit – TC and All Linear Zero Circuits and Figure 209 Zero
Calibration Circuit – RTD ZeroCu: 10 Ohm, Pt: 100 Ohm, Ni: 120 Ohm as appropriate.
