8.7 How Can I Commission a Device That Connects
Through the ECC500 RS485 Port?
Prerequisites
Cables are properly connected to the ECC500 and the device that connects to the RS485
port on the ECC500.
You have logged in to the NetEco client and have the operation rights for System and
Data Center Planning.
Context
This topic uses the A8802RS access controller as an example for illustration. The actual
device prevails.
Procedure
Step 1 Set SNMP parameters on the ECC500.
1. On the main menu, choose System Settings > SNMP Settings. Select SNMPv3 for
SNMP Version and enter 161 for SNMP Port Number.
2. Click Add in SNMPv3, set User Name, MD5/SHA Password, and DES/AES
Password. Confirm MD5/SHA Password and DES/AES Password. Click Confirm.
