6 Image Acquisition
Operator’s Manual 6 - 5
Only linear probes support this function.
Dehaze
This function can restrain noise, so as to enhance the contrast resolution of the image.
Tap the [Dehaze] item on the touch screen to adjust the value.
LGC
Adjust the gain along the scan line to improve the lateral resolution of the image.
Tap [LGC] to enter the adjusting dialogue box.
The 8 rods displayed on the touch screen indicate the corresponding image areas on the main
screen.
Tap the slider to adjust the gain, move downwards to decrease the gain, while move upwards to
increase the gain.
In addition, the system provides several preset parameters for imaging.
Patient Temperature
If the current active probe is TEE probe, the parameter will display under the B mode menu. You
can enter the patient temperature by this function.
WARNING
If the patient temperature is above 37°C (98.6 °F) and the [Patient
Temperature] setting is below the actual reading, the system could
overestimate the temperature of TEE transducer’s distal tip. This could
trigger the Auto-Cool feature. If the patient temperature reaches or is near
37 °C (98.6 °F) and the [Patient Temperature] setting is above the actual
reading, the system could underestimate the temperature of the TEE
transducer's distal tip. The patient is exposed to excessive temperatures.
6.2 Color Mode
The Color mode is used to detect color flow information, and the color is designed to judge the
direction and speed of blood flow.
Generally, the color above the color bar indicates the flow towards the probe, while the color below
the color bar indicates the flow away from the probe. The brighter the color, the faster the flow
speed, while the darker the color, the slower the flow speed.
TIP:
In Color Mode, acoustic power is synchronous with that of B Mode. Adjustment of the depth or
zoom to the B Mode image will lead to corresponding changes in Color Mode image.
6.2.1 Color Mode Image Scanning
Perform the following procedure:
1. Select a high-quality image during B mode scanning, and adjust to position the area of interest
in the center of the B mode image.
2. Tap [Color] to enter Color mode.
3. Change the position and size of the Region of Interest (ROI).
