7.5 Interface Output Test (OTEST)
This command is used to test the integrity of the data being output by the
signal processor. The command causes sixteen words to be output
consisting of successive powers of two starting from one. By verifying
whether each output word is correct, malfunctioning bits in the interface
data bus can easily be isolated. This test is less stringent than the
input/output test IOTEST, since the input data paths to the processor are
not being checked. Typically, the OTEST is performed only when the
IOTEST fails, and then to determine whether the fault was on input or
output.
NOTE
The IOTEST command can also process and echo up to 128 additional
XARGS data words (see ).Section 7.20 Pass Auxiliary Arguments to
