Receiving Explicit
Messages
Sending an explicit message from a standard DeviceNet master to the
SmartGuard controller enables reading or writing any specified data or
parameters of the SmartGuard controller. The controller performs
according to a command sent from the master and returns a response.
A read command reads the SmartGuard local I/O or safety slave I/O
area allocated to the SmartGuard controller from the master.
The basic format of the command and response are shown below.

The Destination Node Address specifies, in 1 byte hexidecimal, the
node address of the data to be read.
