Configure Your Controller for DeviceNet Communications 69

Using the Safety Generic Profile in RSLogix 5000 Software

You can connect to the SmartGuard slave controller using the safety

generic profile in RSLogix 5000 software.

Follow these steps to connect to the controller.

1. In RSLogix 5000 software, right-click the DeviceNet network and

choose New Module.

2. Select Generic DeviceNet Safety Module and click OK.

3. On the New Module dialog, click Change.

4. On the Module Definition Dialog, set the parameters as shown.
