SFOC for Conventional Turbochargers
All engine types 46 and smaller are as standard
fitted with conventional turbochargers, option:
4 59 107.
The conventional turbocharger is applied to the
engine in the basic design with the view to obtain-
ing the best possible Specific Fuel Oil Consump-
tion (SFOC) values, see example in Fig. 2.07.01.

Conventional turbocharger
At part load running the lowest SFOC may be
obtained at 80% of the optimised power = 80%
of the specified MCR.
